Description
What is KPV?
KPV is a synthetic tripeptide corresponding to the C-terminal three amino acids (Lysine-Proline-Valine) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Despite its short length, KPV retains the anti-inflammatory activity associated with the parent α-MSH molecule while lacking its pigmentary effects at MC1R. This selectivity has made it a focus of research in inflammatory-condition models, particularly gastrointestinal and dermal inflammation.
It is supplied by Revial Labs as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder for reconstitution in bacteriostatic water. All product is intended strictly for laboratory research use.
Areas of Research Investigation
Published research on KPV has been conducted primarily in animal and in vitro models. Areas of research investigation include:
- Anti-inflammatory pathway studies — investigation of NF-κB signalling suppression in inflammation models.
- Inflammatory bowel disease models — studies of colitis in rodent models, including delivery via oral and rectal routes.
- Dermal inflammation research — investigation of atopic dermatitis and wound-healing models.
- Melanocortin receptor pharmacology — comparative studies of KPV activity relative to full-length α-MSH.
This is a summary of published research directions and should not be interpreted as claims about the compound’s effects in humans. KPV is not approved by the MHRA, FDA, or any equivalent regulatory body for human or veterinary use.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included with this product?
One sealed vial containing 10mg of lyophilised KPV powder. Bacteriostatic water, syringes, and alcohol swabs are sold separately — see our Starter Accessory Pack for a bundled option.
How pure is Revial Labs KPV?
All KPV supplied by Revial Labs is manufactured to ≥99% purity and independently verified by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
What is the relationship between KPV and BPC-157?
Both are frequently studied in inflammation and gastrointestinal-repair research, though they act through distinct mechanisms. KPV is derived from α-MSH and acts primarily through melanocortin-related anti-inflammatory pathways; BPC-157 is derived from gastric protein and acts through different signalling pathways. Some research groups have investigated the two in combination.
How is KPV shipped?
Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail tracked delivery from the UK, typically within one working day. Peptides remain stable at ambient temperature during transit; refrigeration is recommended once received.
Is a Certificate of Analysis included?
A batch-specific COA verifying identity, purity, and mass spectrometry is available on request. Contact us with your order number and we will send the corresponding document.
