Sterile Alcohol Swabs

Individually wrapped sterile alcohol prep pads, saturated with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Used to clean the rubber septum of both the solvent vial and the peptide vial immediately before puncture, maintaining sterility during reconstitution and each subsequent aliquot draw.

Why Every Peptide Reconstitution Needs Them

Rubber vial septa are non-sterile on the outer surface and can carry environmental contaminants introduced during storage or handling. Wiping the septum with a fresh alcohol swab before every puncture is standard sterile technique — it minimises the risk of introducing microbial contamination into the vial, which is especially important with multi-dose vials such as bacteriostatic water, where a single vial may be punctured many times over several weeks.
