Description
What is TB-500?
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide derived from thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4), a naturally occurring 43-amino-acid regulatory peptide first isolated from the thymus in the 1960s. Thymosin beta-4 is one of the most abundant G-actin sequestering molecules in mammalian cells and plays a central role in cytoskeletal organisation and cell migration. TB-500 has become one of the most widely referenced peptides in regenerative and tissue-repair laboratory research, frequently studied alongside BPC-157.
It is supplied by Revial Labs as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder for reconstitution in bacteriostatic water. All product is intended strictly for laboratory research use.
Areas of Research Investigation
Published research on TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 has been conducted primarily in animal and in vitro models. Areas of research investigation include:
- Actin dynamics and cytoskeletal research — studies of G-actin sequestration and its effect on cell shape and motility.
- Tissue repair and wound-healing models — investigation into cell migration and re-epithelialisation in dermal and corneal repair studies.
- Cardiovascular models — research into cardioprotection and post-infarction remodelling in animal studies.
- Angiogenesis studies — examination of new blood-vessel formation in tissue-repair contexts.
This is a summary of published research directions and should not be interpreted as claims about the compound’s effects in humans. TB-500 is not approved by the MHRA, FDA, or any equivalent regulatory body for human or veterinary use. It is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for use in athletic competition.

Reconstitution
TB-500 is typically reconstituted in bacteriostatic water for research purposes. Bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, allowing storage of the reconstituted solution over several weeks under refrigeration.
For step-by-step guidance, see our article How to Reconstitute Research Peptides, or use our Peptide Reconstitution Calculator.
Storage and Handling
- Before reconstitution: Store at 2–8°C (refrigerator) for long-term storage. Short-term room-temperature storage is acceptable during shipping.
- After reconstitution: Store the solution at 2–8°C and use within four weeks.
- Avoid: Direct sunlight, freeze-thaw cycles, and repeated agitation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included with this product?
One sealed vial containing 10mg of lyophilised TB-500 powder. Bacteriostatic water, syringes, and alcohol swabs are sold separately — see our Starter Accessory Pack for a bundled option.
How pure is Revial Labs TB-500?
All TB-500 supplied by Revial Labs is manufactured to ≥99% purity and independently verified by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
What is the difference between TB-500 and BPC-157?
Both are peptides studied in tissue-repair contexts, but they act on different biological pathways. BPC-157 originates from gastric protein and is more often studied in connective-tissue and gastrointestinal models, while TB-500 is a synthetic derivative of thymosin beta-4, more commonly studied in cardiovascular and muscle-tissue models. The two are often used together in research — see our Wolverine Blend for a combined preparation. See our TB-500 research overview for more.
How is TB-500 shipped?
Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail tracked delivery from the UK, typically within one working day. Peptides remain stable at ambient temperature during transit; refrigeration is recommended once received.
Is a Certificate of Analysis included?
A batch-specific COA verifying identity, purity, and mass spectrometry is available on request. Contact us with your order number and we will send the corresponding document.
